Welcome! I am a Pittsburgh based yoga, meditation, and piano teacher. I believe connecting with one’s creativity is essential for health and well-being, and seek to promote unique experiences that lead to more mindful living.
While completing a BA in Piano Performance at Florida State University, I adopted a regular yoga and meditation practice to cope with performance anxiety. I became passionate about these practices and saw huge benefits in my life, from more focus and attentiveness learning music, to confidence while on stage, and overall stress management in every day life. I wish I had been exposed to these techniques earlier in my development and therefor incorporate what I have learned into all of my teaching.
I am a passionate teacher with a wide range of experience spanning private instruction to the classroom setting. From 2014-2016 I volunteered as an English Teacher in Thailand with the Peace Corps. Soon after, I completed my 200-hour yoga teaching certification at Jeevmoksha Yoga Gurukul in Rishikesh, India and began my journey as a yoga teacher. Most recently, I completed the Master in Arts Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University and have done educational work for various arts institutions including the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and Assemble. I seek to provide educational opportunities that support the arts through mindfulness techniques I have learned in yoga and meditation, believing that creativity is essential to wellbeing.
